At Cate Atelier, all candles are handmade using traditional methods. All our candles are made with vegetable and mineral wax. To ensure you enjoy an unforgettable experience and get the most out of our products, we suggest you follow our recommendations:
BEFORE LIGHTING THE CANDLE
Ensure that the wick is trimmed to approximately 5mm from the wax, as this will allow for clean and even burning. Place them on a flat surface, preferably on a suitable base, and keep them away from flammable objects, heat sources, drafts, and children and pets.
WHILE THE CANDLE IS LIT
For safety reasons, do not leave the candle burning for more than 4 hours at a time. Do not leave the candle burning unattended. Do not burn candles to the end; leave about 1 cm of wax to prevent excessive heating, cracking, and fires. Do not move burning candles. If you have more than one candle burning, leave 5 to 10 cm between candles.
WHEN TO EXTINGUISH
Do not extinguish the candle with liquids. Preferably, use a candle snuffer, as this will maximize burning time. Store it in a cool, dark, and dry place. Avoid direct sunlight.
TO RELIGHT
To relight, make sure the candle is clean. Candles can easily become dusty. Always take the above recommendations into account.
We recommend that you (1.) remove the candles from the bouquet box and then (2.) carefully remove the wooden stick and (3.) place the candle on a flat surface, preferably on a suitable candle holder.
Follow the same recommendations described above.
NEVER light the candles in the bouquet box.
