Care and recommendations

At Cate Atelier, all our candles are handmade. All our candles are made with vegetable and mineral wax.

So that you can enjoy an unforgettable experience and make the most of our products, we suggest that you take our recommendations into consideration:

BEFORE YOU LIGHT THE CANDLE

Make sure that the wick is trimmed about 5mm away from the wax, this will allow it to burn cleanly and evenly. Place them on a flat surface and keep them away from flammable objects, heat sources, draughts and any children or pets.

WHILE THE CANDLE IS ON

For safety reasons, do not let the candle burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Do not leave the candle burning unattended. Don't burn the candles all the way down, leave about 1 cm of wax to prevent overheating, cracks and fires. Do not move lit candles. If you have more than one candle burning, leave 10 cm between candles.

WHEN TO BLOW IT OUT

Don't blow out the candle with liquid. Preferably use a proper trimmer, this will maximize burning times. Store it in a cool, dark and dry place. Avoid direct sunlight.

TO RELIGHT

To relight it, make sure the candle is clean. Candles can get dusty easily. Always take the above recommendations into account.

SPECIAL BOUQUETS

We advise you to (1.) remove the candles from the bouquet box and then (2.) carefully remove the wooden stick. (3.) Place the candle on a flat surface, preferably on a base suitable for candles. And follow the same recommendations as above.

OUR CANDLES ARE NOT EDIBLE, PLEASE DO NOT EAT THEM.
